Last month a survey released by the UK Digital Games Association found that 68 % of adults play games on their phones at least once a week. That figure is up from 55 % a year earlier, and it shows the pace at which mobile titles are moving into the mainstream.
In the last decade, the UK’s entertainment budget has migrated from large venues and broadcast subscriptions to handheld screens. A 2023 market survey revealed that 68 % of UK adults now spend more than an hour a day on mobile gaming, up from 45 % in 2016.
